This branch was opened by the Bank's Chairman (Denis Martineau) on January 5th
1968, when the business of
Wheeler Street was transferred,
the latter branch being closed in anticipation of the premises being demolished under a Redevelopment Scheme for
the area. The new branch retained Wheeler Street's sort code (77-85-68).
