Formally opened in November 1976, by W S Page (Birmingham's City Treasurer and, prior to its demise on March 31st 1976, Treasurer
of the Birmingham Municipal Bank).
Four Oaks was the only new branch to be opened as part of the network of the Birmingham Municipal
Trustee Savings Bank.
The branch was located on the ground floor of the Highgate Centre in Belwell Lane in the Four Oaks/Mere
Green area, just to the north of the centre of Sutton Coldfield.
