PLASTERER.
The lime to be Buxton chalk or fat lime, well slaked and run into putty at least one month before required for use.
 
The sand to be clean sharp pit sand free from loam or other impurities and washed if required or directed.
 
The cement except where otherwise described to be Portland as described in "Concretor".
 
The Keene's cement to be best quality finely ground and fresh.
 
The hair to be long, curled ox hair free from grease and other impurities, well beaten and mixed with the coarse stuff in the proportion of 1-lb. hair to 3 feet cube of stuff.
 
The laths (unless otherwise described) to be cleft riven fir laths, lath and half strength, free from sap and nailed with wire nails, butt joint breaking every 3' 0".
 
The rendering and floating coats to be mixed in the proportion of one part lime to two parts sand. The setting coat to be one part lime to two parts washed sand.
 
The cement to be mixed in the proportion of one part cement to three parts sand.
 
The whole of the work to be left free from cracks, blisters, or blemishes and to be true and smooth when finished.
 
The Plasterer will be required to work in conjunction with the following Engineering etc., Specialist Fitters, for whose work ducts and chases have been provided in walls, Heating, Ventilation, Plumber, Gasfitter, Electrician, Telephone, Dictaphone, Clocks, Lift, Pneumatic Tube and Vacuum Plant.
The general wall plaster will be executed and left off as necessary wherever chases and ducts occur and prices must include for any extra cost entailed in returning and completing the work over chases (which is given separately in the Bill) at a later date and for neatly joining up and making good to general wall plaster.
 
NOTE:-  The Contractor is to provide and fix in their respective positions in the building full size models worked exactly to the Architects' details of the various plaster and fibrous plaster moldings etc., and to allow for altering etc., as may be required to meet the Architects' approval before putting the work in hand.
