HEATING.
Fix the following:
 
Number
      1        Heating apparatus consisting of No. 2 large gas fuel boilers with pumps, motors, etc., piping, radiators and panel heating etc.
 
Add for providing any water etc., necessary for testing purposes.
 
BUILDERS WORK IN CONNECTION.
 
The following to be executed in accordance with the instructions of the Engineers:-
 
CONCRETOR.
Cubic
 Feet
  18     Fine cement concrete 1-2-4 filling to brick flue wall packed and tamped around No. 2 12" diameter and
            No. 1 - 5" diameter stoneware flue pipes.
Yards
    3     Cement concrete 1-2-4 bed 5" thick under motors, floated smooth in cement
    8     Fine cement concrete 1-2-4 filling 1½" thick filled into shuttering and packed against brick wall and worked around ½" diameter
                          steel heating pipes at 4" centres (shuttering elsewhere measured).
   15    Ditto 1-2-4 ditto 4½" thick filled into shuttering and ditto (ditto)
Number
     1    Precast cement concrete 6" thick raft to brick flue 4' 7" x 2' 3" reinforced with and include approved stout reinforcing lathing and with
                         No. 2 - 14" diameter and No. 1 - 8" diameter perforations through ditto and fix in brick flue (building in elsewhere measured)
                         or cast in situ and include all casings, centerings etc.
 
CONCRETE LINTOLS.
Feet
  47      4½" x 7" Lintol with one ¾" bar.    In No. 10.
  39      6"     x 7"  Ditto with one ¾" bar.    In No. 6.
   5       14"   x 7"  Ditto with two ¾" bars.   In No. 1.
 
BRICKLAYER.
Feet
  70      Form recess in brick wall 1½" deep to suit wall heating coils welded together in panels with and include galvanized wrot iron ties
                     built in to bond with concrete filling (elsewhere measured).
  14      Form chase 4½" x 4½" in brick wall
  42      Ditto              9"     x 3"     in     ditto
 693     Ditto              9"     x 4½" in     ditto
  26      Cut chase for medium pipe in solid concrete casing to steel joist and make good
    3      Ditto for large pipe in ditto and do.
  12      Build in edge of 6" concrete slab
  14      Leave out in 3" hollow block partition 3" wide to allow of fixing small pipe
  10      Oversailing in one course 1" projection
  60      5" Diameter stoneware drain pipe socket jointed in cement, fixed as flue pipe, vertically in brick flue with iron brackets as work rises
                     (brackets elsewhere measured)
                    No. 1.    Cut to dead length
                     "    1.    Purpose made T junction with sockets both ends and to branch
  120   12" Diameter ditto and as last
                    No. 2.    Cut to dead length

      1        18" x 9" Galvanized cast iron air grating and form flue through 9" brick wall rendered smooth in cement with slate lintol
      2        18" x 9" Ditto ditto and form flue through 14" ditto ditto
      1        Fix only iron draught stabilizer 4" x 6" and form flue through 14" wall rendered smooth in cement with slate lintol over.
      2        Fix only ditto 9" x 15" and form flue through 14" ditto ditto
      3        Build in solid 3" cast iron trap
      6        Form recess 10" x 10" x 3" deep in brick wall for access box and render smooth in cement. (Lintol elsewhere measured).
      3        Form recess 4' 0" x 3' 0" x 6" deep in brick wall for radiator (lintol elsewhere measured)
      1        Ditto               4' 6" x 4' 0" x 6" deep ditto (ditto).
      2        Ditto               8' 0" x 1' 9" x 6" deep ditto (ditto).
      1        Form condensation pocket in solid brickwork below flue 8" x 8" x 27" high with bottom chamfered and dished to trap.
      2        Ditto ditto 14" x 14" x 27" high ditto ditto.
      1        Leave out in 14" brickwork 4' 0" x 2' 9" to allow of connecting smoke pipes to flue pipes and afterwards build up and include
                        building around No. 2 - 12" diameter and No. 1 - 5" diameter smoke pipes (lintol elsewhere measured)
 
CARPENTER AND JOINER.
 
ACCESS DOORS - All wrot and well framed together.
The following to be in Honduras Mahogany:-
Feet
  20      3" x 1" Rebated and twice rounded linings tongued at angles.
Number
    6      1" Solid flush panelled door 9" x 9" chamfered all edges.
Feet
   20     Shaped thick velvet strip 4" girth screwed to Mahogany frame in short lengths to ensure airtight joint with door.
